Abstract

The government policy of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a program to improve the health, nutrition and readiness of students in Indonesia, especially elementary school students. Kebijakan ini dirancang untuk menjawab persoalan malnutrisi dan stunting yang masih menjadi persoalan nasional. Namun, banyak komentar dan juga kritik mengenai pelaksanaan program MBG di lapangan, terutama dari guru yang terlibat langsung dalam pelaksanaannya. The purpose of this study is to see the impact of MBG policy from the point of view of elementary school teachers, find various obstacles in its implementation, and learn the ethics of delivering policy criticism from the point of view of Islam. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study approach through data collection from Al-Qur'an, Hadith, and scientific journals.  The study found that the MBG program has a positive impact on students' health, their desire to learn and their engagement in school. Namun pelaksanaan program ini menghadapi berbagai masalah seperti koordinasi antar sektor yang kurang baik, keterbatasan fasilitas dan beban administratif guru yang bertambah. Islamic perspective of public policy criticism can be carried out if it is done objectively, politely, and for the sake of the common good.
