Abstract

Elementary school is a good time to instill the value of discipline in students in their daily lives. In this case, of course, not only in the family environment but also in the school environment, especially in the learning class. Discipline is one element of the quality of human resources. Discipline can make someone feel obedient and obedient to the values they believe in so that they are more responsible for managing the order of personal and group life. Disciplining through education is the duty of every educational institution. Because with discipline all activities will run smoothly. In this way, students will have high levels of discipline in their daily activities. Disciplinary education carried out by teachers for their students is reflected in habituation activities which are supported by the expertise and depth of knowledge, charisma and authority of the teacher.

The formulation of the problem examined in writing this thesis is (1) what is the role of the class teacher in fostering learning discipline for grade 5 students at MI Iqdamul Ulum, stump Irang Village, Martapura District (2) what are the supporting and inhibiting factors for class teachers in fostering learning discipline for grade 5 students MI Iqdamul Ulum, Stump Irang Village, Martapura District.

This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. In order to obtain the required data, researchers used data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Researchers analyzed the data by explaining and interpreting the data obtained from interviews with related parties, then the data was analyzed further intensively.

The results of this research show that in fostering student learning discipline, the teacher carries out his role exemplary in coaching or guiding and also directly provides an example to the students so that the teacher's role as an educator has been able to foster student learning discipline at Mi Iqdamul Ulum. Apart from that, teacher, student and friend factors also have a very dominant influence on the development of student learning discipline.
